| Heaviest yielding variety of Castanea sativa species. Very dependable cool climate variety found from a tree growing in Centralia, WA. Parent tree produced yields of 400-1200 lbs a year. This original tree lives on in the seeds or scionwood collected by Michael Dolan - the owner of Burnt Ridge Nursery. Prolific Chestnut produces medium sized nuts of average quality. Not suitable in the Eastern US where blight can be a problem. |
