Hickory Trees

Hickory trees produce a beautiful wood that is used in furniture making.

The flavor of the nuts are fantastic! Very rich, similar to a pecan. Their hard shells require a pair of vice grips to crack open the nuts.

Technically they are self-fertile but they will set a larger crop if you plant 2 seedlings to increase the pollination.
