Tree Seeds

We harvest and collect seeds from trees and other plants at our own farm. These varieties are already proven producers and we only offer the best material to propagate your own nut trees from seed.

We are also a wholesale supplier of nursery quality seeds. We offer a wide variety of properly pollinated chestnut tree seeds that might otherwise be hard to find as a transplant. Our chestnut seeds are kept in cold storage.

We begin accepting seed orders in August for shipping in November/December. Some seed may still be available through the Spring.

Seed orders may be separated from plant orders to be able to ship them at optimal times. Seed orders follow the normal shipping chart. The charge will be adjusted at the time the order is shipped. Cost varies by distance and weight and volume. Different types of nuts pack very differently. The following list may be used as a guide to estimate your final charge:

1-3# chestnuts - $15.40

3-10# chestnuts - $22.95

10-15# chestnuts - $28.50

Very large, flavorful, well filled nuts. It is a high yielding, vigorous tree from the Northern range of shellbark.

OREGON BAY LAUREL SEEDS (Umbellularia californica)

Aromatic evergreen tree native to Oregon and California. Also known as Myrtlewood. Oregon Bay Laurel is a shade tolerant tree that grow to about 20 ft. a good choice for screening. Leaves can be used fresh or dried in soups and stews, much more potent than store bought bay leaves, use only half as much. Hard and heavy durable wood. Hardy to -7 F. Seeds sold in husks.

MONKEY PUZZLE SEEDS (Araucaria araucana)

Tall ornamental evergreen nut tree native to Chile and hardy to -10° F. Produces large cones with 250 nuts per cone. 2" long nuts are good tasting after roasting, resembling corn or chestnut. Monkey Puzzle Seed has a thin, easily peelable shell. Seed quality for propagation.

NORTHERN RED OAK SEEDS (Quercus rubra)

Brilliant red fall color, faster growing than most oaks. Northern Red Oak Seed is hardy down to zone 3.

Very hardy, very early ripening nuts. Northern Pecan seeds are offered by the pound.

SEED/ Stuart Northern Pecan Seed (Carya illinoinensis)

Large, thin shelled nuts that are easy to crack. Great flavor. Stuart Northern Pecan is a large vigorous tree with good scab resistance. Early ripening for a pecan with big nuts. Grown in Zone 4-9 regions that have hot summers.

KANZA NOTHERN PECAN SEEDS (Carya illinoinensis)

Very scab resistant cultivar recently released from USDA pecan breeding program. Pollinates with Colby & Pawnee. Kanza Northern Pecan is productive of medium sized seeds of good quality that crack out easily into clean halves.

KAKAI (NAKED) PUMPKIN SEED

A fantastic pumpkin variety producing "naked" seeds - seeds without shells. Very nutritious seeds are delicious raw or lightly roasted by themselves or in trail mix, granola, with dark chocolate, in stir fry with vegetables, or on salads. 12 seeds per packet.
