We have a beautiful selection of potted plants available in the summer. Some even have fruit on them! The following plants are available for summer shipping or pick up at the farm or the Olympia Farmer's Market. During the summer, the shipping costs are higher because the plants have to be shipped in pots. During the summer WA, OR, ID and CA orders are shipped via UPS. All other states are shipped via priority mail (3 day transit time). Orders that are shipped in summer or fall are not guaranteed.
This shrub is a highly ornamental cross between the Golden and Macrocarpa Silverberry. The Olive Martini SIlverberry has broad evergreen leaves trimmed in gold. Great hedgerow potential. Very fragrant flowers in fall, winter or spring depending upon location. Followed by edible, nutritious fruits and seeds. Drought tolerant. Widely adapted to sun or shade, alkaline or acidic soil. Tolerates light frost, though heavy frost can affect fruit cropping depending upon when they are in bloom in your area.
Dark red fleshed, great for making colorful cider or juice blended with other varieties. Airlie Red Flesh Cider Apple is moderately sweet with some tartness, crisp texture also suitable for fresh eating, sauces or pies. Also known as 'Hidden Rose Apple®'.
Crisp, firm and juicy with a great sweet taste, for dessert or cooking. Its pleasant aroma is an excellent addition to a cider blend. Dark purplish red skin with yellow flesh. Late ripening and an excellent keeper of medium sized fruit. Arkansas Black Apple trees are resistant to cedar apple rust and codling moth. Originated in Arkansas around 1870. Not the most productive of apple trees and needs a pollinator which can be any variety EXCEPT for Gravenstein.
One of the best tasting of all apples. Crisp, tart and juicy when first harvested, they improve and taste sweeter a few weeks after harvest and will keep for 4 months. Small to medium sized fruits with yellow/green skin covered in brown russeting. Flesh is yellow and fragrant. Used for dessert and sauce and makes a fine cider. Ashmead's Kernal Apple tree have some resistance to scab and mildew. An English variety from the early 1700's. Zone 3.
