Midsummer ripening Japanese fruits that keep well. Santa Rosa plums have large, reddish-purple skin and flesh, juicy and sweet with a hint of tartness. Self-pollinating, hardy from Zone 5-9.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full to 3/4 sun with balanced moisture. Reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest. Spur bearer with fruit throughout the tree. Thinning can be important to prevent branch breakage on this small-scale tree. Also thinning helps keep tree from biennial bearing tendency.
