White fleshed peach with good leaf curl resistance. Sweet and flavorful for fresh eating, but a bit too soft for canning. Semi-freestone, ripe early August. Salish Summer Q-1-8 Peach is a Washington State University release. Self-fertile. Zone 6-9.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full sun, warm & protected locations with balanced moisture. Reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest. Spur bearer. Peaches need regular pruning to thin excessive twiggy growth. Only prune during dry weather to decrease potential disease introduction to newly-exposed wood. Mid-season ripening.
