Rootstock for plums, apricots and almonds. Marriana 26-24 is widely adapted and more tolerant of wet soils. Not compatible with peach and nectarine.

MYROBALAN PLUM SEEDLING (Prunus cerasifera)

Called cherry plums for their cherry sized plum fruits. Myrobalan plum seedlings are vigorous, widely adapted and commonly used as rootstock for every type of plum. Fruits can be eaten fresh or made into jam. Zone 4-9.

Widely adapted selection of Myrobalan used as rootstock for plums and can also be used for almonds. Prunus myro -29 C has good resistance to root rot and nematodes. Makes a large semi dwarf tree if unpruned but can be maintained at any height with summer pruning.
