Ripens early on thornless canes. Prime-Ark ® Traveler produces good sized, sweet blackberries on new shoots, so no support or pruning is required.

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Self-pollinating.
RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full to ¾ sun, balanced and regular moisture (especially in summer), acid soils – add peat moss or sulfur to increase acidity as needed. Reduce grass competition in root zone by applying 2-3” layer of wood chips. Apply aged manure under chips yearly. Cut out dead canes after fruiting in fall. In late spring, thin new canes to 6-8 thickest per crown.
CHILL HOURS: 300 hours.
DISEASE RESISTANCE: No orange rust detected in trials. Have not been observed to be susceptible to anthracnose in AK.
