This tart cherry is a little sweeter than most pie cherries, very flavorful with bright red skins and pink flesh. The Francis Elisabeth is a natural dwarf 8-12ft, widely adapted, mid to late summer ripening. Hardy to -45°F. Excellent sweet flavor with tartness.

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Beautiful white blooms in mid late spring/April. Self-fertile.
RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full to 1/2 sun, balanced moisture. Reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Does well in heavy or light soils. Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest. Recommended to 10' ft for netting.
CHILL HOURS: 700 hours below 45°F
DISEASE RESISTANCE: Very good.
