The Brunswick Fig is a very large, violet to reddish-brown skinned sweet fruits, with amber to pink flesh. A naturally dwarfing, slow-growing variety suited to warm regions, where it will ripen two crops. A single crop of huge figs are produced in cooler regions. AKA Vashon Violette.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full sun, warm & protected locations with balanced moisture. Reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly - a heavy feeder. Needs good drainage. Dormant prune for height and ease of harvest. Spur bearer. Fruit produced on the older wood will appear in early summer and fruit on new growth will appear in early fall. Only 1 crop (usually August) in cooler areas. Figs are fully ripe when they hang down heavily from the spur, feel heavy for their size, and the throat has a slight puckering to the skin.

DISEASE RESISTANCE: Excellent. Fig Mosaic Viruses is often visible especially in young potted plants, however it does not affect health or productivity and is less noticeable in mature plants.
