Widely adapted, ornamental tree with blue foliage, upright dense, conical pyramidal shape makes for a beautiful and fragrant Christmas tree or windbreak. Prickly needles provide some deterrent to wildlife. Colorado Blue Spruce is slow growing, but the "Majestic blue" seed source is more vigorous with blue needle color. Very hardy, drought and wind tolerant.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full sun, prefers regular moisture (but is most drought-tolerant of spruces when established), acid to neutral soils (6-7.5 ph) with high organic matter. Reduce grass competition in root zone to start. Very hardy, drought and wind tolerant. Little shearing needed.
DISEASE RESISTANCE: Very good.
