This Ukrainian selection is a cross between American and Asian persimmon combining the larger fruit size of Asian persimmon and greater hardiness of the American parent. The 2 1/2" diameter orange/red fruit is very sweet and delicious with no trace of astringency when ripe. Nikitas Gift™ has brilliant fall foliage in shades of red. Self-fruitful. Zone 5-10.
