| High yielding selection from Ohio. For a hickory the Yoder Shagbark Hickory is relatively easy cracking and quick to bear. Exceptionally fine flavor. Large tree with dense, tough, useful wood. Beautiful yellow fall color. Irregular oval crown shape. Unusual long, peeling strips of bark develops character with age. Slow to establish, then grows with good vigor after 3-4 years.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full to 1/2 sun, balanced moisture, neutral soils with high organic matter and good drainage. Prune dead, damaged limbs to improve airflow.
