 Detailed Description

It has the typical blackberry flavor but the translucent fruit is a creamy white. Snowbank blackberry is a vigorous, trailing, thorny vine. It originated with Luther Burbank in the 1890's. Zone 5-9.

ZONE: 5-9

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME:  Self-pollinating, blooms in April & May.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:

At least 6 hours of direct & daily sunlight, watered regularly to maintain moist soil but ensuring there is good drainage. Prefers loamy soil. In every season and/or whenever you notice it, prune out any dead, diseased or broken blackberry canes. Ripen in July & August.

CHILL HOURS: 300-500 chill hours.

DISEASE RESISTANCE:  Generally, disease resistant but can be susceptible to powdery mildew or anthracnose if there isn't good air circulation and is an abundance of overhead watering.

SIZE AT MATURITY:  4-6ft tall & 3-4ft wide.
