Similar in tree form and overall nut quality to Layeroka, but less productive. A good pollinator, nuts ripening a little later with some remaining in the husk. Skioka Chestnut is the parent of Layeroka and Skookum. Seedlings start producing 4-8yrs after planting. Grafted/Layered trees start producing 3-5yrs after planting.
