A Canadian variety, quick to bear pink flowers, later than most apricots with freestone, golden sweet fruits in midsummer. Scout Apricot has good disease resistance. Self-fruitful though cross pollination may increase yield. Established trees hardy to Zone 3.

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Early blooming - early warm spells can make plants break dormancy early. Late frosts can damage blossoms, wet conditions can make pollination spotty. Self-fruitful but benefits greatly from having another variety nearby.
RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Needs hot, full sun and regular water in summer, low-nitrogen fertilizer in spring. Reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. General pruning to control size and form, then to remove old branches that no longer fruit. ONLY prune during dry days to prevent fungal rots. Mid-season ripening.
