 Detailed Description

Understory west coast native shrub that is very shade tolerant. Magenta pink flowers in early spring, yellow or red fruits in May and June. Attracts bees. Salmonberry produces berries that are juicy, seedy and refreshing when little else is ripe.

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME:  April

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:  

3/4 to 1/4 sun, regular balanced moisture, acid soils high in organic matter.  Shovel prune root zone to keep plant in bounds. Will spread in favorable conditions.

SIZE AT MATURITY:  4-6' x 4-6'
