 Detailed Description

A small tree native to high elevations of the southwestern U.S. Yellow to red fall color. Rocky Mountain white oak produces 1” long edible acorns, and tolerates drought and alkaline soils.

ZONE: 5-8

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Spring

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:

Full to 1/2 sun, widely adapted soils. No standing water. Drought tolerant once established.

DISEASE RESISTANCE: Good.

SIZE AT MATURITY: 30-50 ft tall
