 Detailed Description

Reddish-pink flowers followed by medium to large fruits that are quite fragrant with a bright pink flesh.  Pink Pearl apple is a good dessert apple, though most commonly used to add color in cider, sauce and pies.  Blooms and ripens fairly early.  Zone 4-9.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:

Full sun, balanced moisture, reduce grass competition in root zone.  Top dress with compost yearly.  Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest.  Spur bearer.  Support trunk for first few years of establishment.  Early-late season ripening.

CHILL HOURS:  600 hours below 45F                    

DISEASE RESISTANCE:  Poor. Susceptible to scab.

SIZE AT MATURITY:  Dwarf - 8' x 12'| Semi Dwarf – 10-16' x 15'| Standard – 20' x 20'
