Very early ripening of medium-large fruit. O'Neal Blueberry is among the best flavored of the southern highbush blueberry varieties. Gray-green foliage with red stems. Eventual height of 5-6ft. From North Carolina. Self-fruitful.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full to 3/4 sun, balanced and regular moisture (especially in summer), acid soils - add peat moss or sulfur to increase acidity as needed, although the Southern Highbush will do better with less acid soils. Reduce grass competition in root zone by applying 2-3" layer of wood chips. Apply aged manure under chips yearly. Cut out dead wood as needed; some will dormant prune out branches older than 3 years to spur development of new, vigorous growth.
