 Detailed Description

The Kuganskaya Quince is a productive, large, bright yellow round fruit. These sweet fragrant fruits are mainly cooked in desserts or used in jams and jellies. When eating fresh, slice thinly. Zone 5-9.

ZONE:  5-9

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME:  Early blooming. Considered self-fertile, but better fruit set with another quince variety.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:

Full sun, lots of heat with balanced moisture. Reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest. Tip bearer. Late season ripening. Keep away from apples to increase storage life.
