 Detailed Description

Medium to large bright red fruits with sweet/tart juice arils. Kazake pomegranate is a natural dwarf, under 6 feet. Unusually hardy, heat and drought tolerant once established to zone 8-10 locations with hot summers. Self-Pollinating.

ZONE:  8-10

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME:  Self-fertile.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:

Full sun, consistent heat, balanced moisture (especially during first 2 years), reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest. Spur bearer. Late season ripening.

CHILL HOURS:  200 hours below 45F                    

DISEASE RESISTANCE:  Good.

SIZE AT MATURITY:  15' x 15', but can be kept at 8' x 4' with pruning.
