 Detailed Description

Fuji is a very late ripening apple.  Beni Shogun Fuji apple ripens nearly a month earlier with the same crisp, sweet flavor expected of Fuji.  A very good keeper. Zone 5-9.

ZONE:  5-9

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME:  Early mid-blooming. Pollinated by another variety blooming at the same time.  For appropriate cross pollination click HERE

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:

Full sun, balanced moisture, reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest. Good vigor. Spur bearing.  Mid-late ripening.

CHILL HOURS:  500 hours below 45F                    

DISEASE RESISTANCE:  Medium - Scab susceptible in humid climates, partial fireblight resistance.

SIZE AT MATURITY:  Dwarf - 8' x 12'| Semi Dwarf – 10-16' x 15'| Standard – 20' x 20'
