 Detailed Description
Produces high yields of fruit that hangs on the tree after ripening.  Deer Magnet Persimmon is good to attract or feed wildlife. 

ZONE: 6-9

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME:  Spring.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:

Full sun, balanced moisture, reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Drought tolerant once established.  Blooms in late Spring.  Self-fruiting via parthenocarpy.  Medium sized 1.25" to 1.5", bright orange and highly aromatic. Late ripening well into December. Astringent - eat when soft and ripe. Will stay seedless unless cross pollinated by another persimmon.   Prune in late winter, early spring while the tree is dormant.

CHILL HOURS: 100-200 hours below 45°F

DISEASE RESISTANCE:  Very good. 

SIZE AT MATURITY:  To 30’-50’
