 Detailed Description

Evergreen leaves turn dark red in autumn. Cherry Berries wintergreen have edible red berries that are unusually large and prolific.

ZONE: 3-8

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Self-fertile. Blooms in May.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:

Will thrive in part to mostly shade, in acidic soils high in organic matter. Will need regular summer water each year - not good in boggy or droughty soils.

CHILL HOURS: n/a          

DISEASE RESISTANCE: Above average.

SIZE AT MATURITY:  To 2-8" x 12", sometimes wider
