Detailed Description

Produces the largest and best tasting acorns of the West Coast native oaks. Dark trunk with large, sharply lobed leaves, reddish in spring, yellow in fall. California Black Oak is 40-80 ft at maturity. Acorns take 2 years to ripen. Zone 6-9.
