 Detailed Description

Large, firm, juicy, tart fruits are often picked green for pies and sauces.  Allowed to fully ripen, fruit is yellow/red and suitable for fresh eating.  Bramley's Apples are also used in cider blends.  High vitamin C content and especially high in beneficial antioxidants. Vigorous and heavy bearing trees in mid-season.  Scab and mildew resistant.  Pollen sterile, needs a late blooming pollinator such as Northern Spy, Gold Rush, Wolf River or Winecrisp. Zone 4-9.

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME:  Late blooming. Needs another late blooming pollinator. Triploid - pollen sterile.  Plant with two varieties that are able to cross pollinate each other or if limited space plant with a self fertile variety.  For appropriate cross pollination click HERE

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:

Full sun, balanced moisture, reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest. Spur and partial tip bearer.  Mid-season ripening. Vigorous & heavy bearing. Slower to come into production; 3-4 years to first fruit.

CHILL HOURS:  800 to 1000 hours below 45F                    

DISEASE RESISTANCE:  Good. Scab & mildew resistant.

SIZE AT MATURITY:  Dwarf - 8' x 12'| Semi Dwarf – 10-16' x 15'| Standard – 20' x 20'
