 Detailed Description

Excellent fllavor, medium to large fruit, productive northern highbush. Yellow-orange fall color, bright yellow branches make Bluejay Blueberry a great winter interest. Highly resistant to mummy berry disease. 

ZONE: 4-8

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Early-mid

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:

Full to 3/4 sun, balanced and regular moisture (especially in summer), acid soils - add peat moss or sulfur to increase acidity as needed. Reduce grass competition in root zone by applying 2-3" layer of wood chips. Apply aged manure under chips yearly. Cut out dead wood as needed.

CHILL HOURS: High: 1000 hours below 45F

DISEASE RESISTANCE: Good. Resistant to some viral diseases and moderately resistant to mummy berry.

SIZE AT MATURITY: To 5-7' x 4'
