Northern Pecan
These grafted trees represent the earliest ripening genetic material known of pecan - from the Northern most range of native pecan around Northern Illinois. Worthy of trial in cool summer areas and cold winter areas not normally suited to pecans. Western Washington lacks necessary heat to ripen pecans, but they can ripen in the warmest regions of eastern Washington. Zone 4-9 hardiness.

PAWNEE NORTHERN PECAN(Carya illinoisensis)
Productive of large, plump, high quality nuts (58% kernel). Good pollinator for Kanza and is somewhat self-fertile. Scab and aphid resistant. A compact variety, only 30 ft. tall and wide at maturity.
