Flowering Cherry and Plum Trees
"Kanko Bai" flowering plums a.k.a. flowering plums are not a tree plum nor an apricot. Prunus mume has beautiful fragrant pink flowers in late winter that are surprisingly hardy, and develop into small, tart apricot like fruits that can be eaten raw, pickled in salt, or made into jam. Buds and flowers are also eaten and blossoms are used in scenting tea. A small, self fruitful tree.

FLOWERING PLUM SEEDLING (Prunus mume)
Slower to flower and fruit than cutting or grafted grown named varieties and somewhat more variable.
