Also called Digger Pine. Largest and most nutritious nut of the Western Nut Pines. Nuts are produced in very large, spiky cones. Drought tolerant native of the foothills of the Sierras of California. Zone 7-9.

Classic umbrella shaped Pine of Italy. A beautiful tree with delicious high protein nuts. Not as winter hardy as Korean Nut Pine and not as tolerant of heavy clay soils.
