Currant
Currant fruits have vibrant colors and are one of the first fruits of the season to ripen. They can be eaten fresh or used in baking or in jellies. All the currant varieties listed here are resistant to white pine blister rust and mildew. They are all self fertile .

CHERRY RED CURRANT (Ribes sativum)
Larger fruits. Early ripening of juicy, flavorful fruit. Mildew and rust resistant. Very hardy to Zone 3-8.
