ALASKA CEDAR (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis)
Northwest native conifer with narrow form & downward sweeping branches. Yellow wood. Native from the mountains of Oregon to Alaska, on moist sites. Can live 1500 years or more.

Widely adapted native conifer with glossy deep green needles. Very popular in Christmas tree plantations. Seed is an important food source for birds and squirels; branches provide good cover and nesting sites for wildlife. Can achieve 200 ft. height. Zone 4-8.

Very fast growing West Coast native evergreen, in sunny growing conditions. Shade tolerant, but slower in shade. Canopy is so dense that little can grow under it. Important construction wood. Old growth can reach a height of 200 ft. Needs acid soil with high organic matter content.

These are among the tallest trees on earth, native to the coastal mountains of California. Glauca is the blue tinged leaf selection. Fast growing in sun, slower in shade, with rot resistant wood. Zone 7-9.
