ALASKA CEDAR (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis)
Northwest native conifer with narrow form & downward sweeping branches. Yellow wood. Native from the mountains of Oregon to Alaska, on moist sites. Can live 1500 years or more.

Widely adapted native conifer with glossy deep green needles. Very popular in Christmas tree plantations. Seed is an important food source for birds and squirrels; branches provide good cover and nesting sites for wildlife. Can achieve 200 ft. height. Zone 4-8.
