Elderberry
These are North American native shubs with large white flower clusters and big bunches of small dark berries. Elderberry fruit is known for its immune boosting qualities and has anti-carcinogen and anti-oxident properites. Also very high in Vitamin C. Fruits are used for wine, juice, and jelly. Flower clusters are used as a vegetable. It has very dependable fruit production due to late bloom in June. It's not bothered by insects or diseases. Quick to grow to mature height of 6-8 ft.

BLUE ELDERBERRY (Sambucus caerulea)
A fast growing, hardy, 15 ft. shrub with large clusters of tiny white flowers followed by huge quantities of easily harvested fruit. Used for jams, wine, and preserves. Zone 3-8.
